Visionary Artist and Multimedia Creator of Spiritually based Multidimensional and Metaphysical works of Fine Art.
Creator of The Spirit Box and the Discoverer of The Living Picture.
From a young age, visionary artist and multimedia creator Andre Ferrella has been a seeker inspired to use art as a means to express Beauty, Spirituality and the Divine. On his life-path, Ferrella has sought, studied and embraced the inter-connectedness of the universe from the microcosmic to the macrocosmic with the Discovery of The Living Pictures.
With each step on this path he has discovered more about how nature, the human spirit, and the Divine work together. His discoveries as translated through his art go beyond self-fulfillment to act as an opening for the journey of each individual who views his works.
Andre has been recognized by both the international arts and science communities as an innovator, discoverer and inventor.
Andre Ferrella brings to his art a life time of spiritual study and exploration of the world's sacred traditions and iconography. With his indisputable technical virtuosity, Ferrella is able to reveal higher orders of reality and the interconnectedness of existence that has been described by ageless enlightened teachers and mystics. Ferrella communicates these ineffable spiritual experiences and phenomena, at the same time that he enables our own explorations and awakenings. Shelley Jordan - Master Astrologer
Andre Ferrella & Linda Morris-Ferrella
Andre Ferrella graduated as a Medical Illustrator from the University of Toledo/Toledo Museum of Art School of Design and received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
He discovered an organic photographic process called The Living Pictures that bridged the gap between micro and macro space. He has been nationally and internationally collected and exhibits at renowned institutions. He also presents at various Spiritual Conferences.
Andre Ferrella teaches Creative Fine Art, Photography and Visual Design at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is married to the talented and creative Linda Morris.
Andre Ferrella is an Artist of The Spirit who devoted his life to bring Divine information from the other side of the veil. During a reading from Lee Carroll, KRYON described Andre as The Evolutionary Artist who brings the gift of accessing the other side of the veil via multidimensional devices he has created.
"There is no greater purpose for an artist than to convey the Divine."
The Discovery of The Living Picture

Ferrella's deep commitment to and belief in the inter-connectedness of all is the driving force behind the creation of The Rise of The Fallen (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization). This Spirit Box memorial for the U.S. military men and women who have fallen in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan is not only a commemoration of their service and sacrifice but is also meant to serve as a healing experience both for those who have lost loved ones and for the country as a whole. The art of Andre Ferrella has been extensively exhibited and collected throughout the United States and throughout the world.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan during the 1950’s and 60’s, I began to develop my calling as an “Artist of the Spirit” through self-taught meditation, drawing, painting, yoga, and the study of the emerging field of metaphysics. Through this passionate study accompanied by drawing and painting, I recognized a deeper connection to “the other side”.
Unbeknownst to me at the time, the unconscious markings arose from channeled information that I allowed to flow through me, out of my hand and onto the paper and canvas. At age sixteen, my parents took me to an exhibition at the Detroit Institute of the Arts entitled “Rembrandt after 300 Years”. Inspired by a self-portrait of the artist at age eighteen, I felt moved and compelled to become “one of the greats”, without knowing “how”. By the time I was sixteen my paintings resembled those of the still life painters of the 18th Century.
I began to meditate in my own way, and eventually was able to create what I will call a complete connection, or melding with everything; with the universe. I realized vivid and aware “states of being” that occurred as astral projection to many other worlds.
Our family moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1970. Being self-taught from an early age, the transition to the University of Toledo and the Toledo Museum School of Art and Design was easy. I quickly acquired the skills of a talented draftsman, and went on to explore printmaking. I graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in Medical Illustration and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
During graduate school I became interested in the photographic arts and developed a “Light Painting System” to paint as a painter, using light and photo-sensitive papers. I had a system built for me that used a “light brush” fiber-optic tool where I could stand and paint with light as the photographic chemicals circulated over the light sensitive paper.
In 1994 the Kodak Corporation sponsored my exhibition and catalogue of the “Discovery of The Living Picture” (The Mold Picture Process) series at the Amerika Haus in Frankfurt, Germany , where I represented the United States Information Service. Two years later the major biotech corporation Promega published this work in the science world as a major discovery bridging the arts and sciences.
After graduate school I founded and operated a house painting business in and around Madison for 16 years, which afforded me the income to ply this craft for only four months of the year, leaving eight months to pursue my art career. I exhibited principally in Chicago and Germany. My works have been collected by institutions and individuals in all walks of life.
I worked as an Art & Multimedia Director for an Internet start-up, providing video and design works for their online templates. In 2000, I was contacted by the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater to teach photography and design, a position that has evolved to include many technological tools. I currently hold this position.
Since 2012, I have been a featured speaker at various spiritual conferences, where I present and provide the “Spirit Box Experience” to audiences and individuals. It has become a passion and a vigorous pursuit of mine to assist others through the arts to understand more about their own spirituality.
